Evacuation

In the unlikely event that you are forced to evacuate your home on short notice, you need to have a plan to ensure that all family members, guests and pets get out of the house and are accounted for.  Your plan should be discussed and practiced with your family.   Examples of events that may force an evacuation are: fire, mud slide, chemical spill, earthquake and home invasion.

You may want to put together a “go bag” that contains copies of valuable papers that may be needed in the event that you need to evacuate quickly.

Your plan should include obtaining the necessary tools and training family members how to shut off the gas and water.
